Dr. Megan owns and operates a small, independent water crematorium, providing a compassionate, eco-friendly alternative to flame cremation. This gentle process, known as aquamation, honors your pet’s memory while minimizing environmental impact. From start to finish, your pet remains in the care of a trusted veterinarian, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect. Their ashes will be safely returned to you or scattered in the mountains, depending on your wishes.
Individual Aqua-Cremation:
Individual cremation ensures that your pet is privately and respectfully handled. This process involves careful identification, individual cremation in an enclosed basket, and return of your pet’s ashes in an urn of your choice.
Group Aqua-Cremation:
Group (communal) cremation involves the respectful cremation of multiple pets together. Because pets are not individually separated during the process, ashes cannot be returned. The communal ashes are then respectfully scattered on private property in the Foothills.
